HOW TO WEAR YOUR HALO EXTENSIONS

Before wearing your Halo extensions for the first time we suggest you give them a little preparation. The Halo's have been pre straightened and that can make them look much thinner than they actually are. Wet the extensions and dry them with a blow dryer or let them air dry overnight. Wetting your Halo before you wear it will allow it to almost double in volume. You can also take the extensions to your salon and have them trim it or thin it out to better match your natural hair. 

FIRST ...
To make sure your halo hair extensions blend beautifully and look as natural as possible. Start by pulling the top section of your hair into a top knot, leaving two inch-wide sections out at the front of your face.

THEN ...
Place the halo on your head with the wire about an inch back from your forehead and push the back of the weft down so it sits firmly below your occipital bone. (This is the small bump you can feel at the back of your head.)

FINALLY ...
Take your top knot down so the top section of your hair covers the halo and, using a rat-tail comb, pull pieces of hair over the halo and wire until it’s completely covered. Brush through until the strands are well blended.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR EXTENSIONS

As marvelous and time-saving as Halo hair extensions can be, they do require some care to ensure they last as long as possible. Since our extensions are made from the highest-quality 100% Remy Human Hair, they require some spoiling. 

You should wash your extensions every 2-3 months, more often if you wear them frequently and use a lot of styling products. If you only wear them 1-2 times per week then you should be ok to stick to a 2 to 3 month wash schedule. However, if you wear them more than that you should wash a little more frequently to avoid product build-up.

STEP ONE:
Be sure to brush the extensions well to remove any tangles or matting.

STEP TWO:
After you have brushed and detangled rinse them in cold water. Make sure the water flows from top to bottom to avoid any tangles.

STEP THREE:
After the extensions are well saturated with water, use a sulfate-free shampoo. Scrub them good until a lather forms, just as you would your own hair. The rinse for at least 2-3 minutes until the shampoo has been completely rinsed out. If any remains, it can make the extensions sticky.

Be sure to use a sulfate-free shampoo as they can make the extensions dry and brittle, causing them to lose their brilliance and shine over time.

STEP FOUR:
Apply conditioner or a mask and work into the hair. Allow the conditioner to sit for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

STEP FIVE:
Time to dry! Hang your Halo extensions and gently comb them to remove any tangles. Then, using your hairdryer on medium heat, rough dry your extensions until they are about 90% dry. Then grab your favorite round brush and the finish the blowout for a smooth finish.
